Umphrey's McGee takes Philadelphia: Three Day Run at Fillmore Philly 10/20-22

In the midst of an unseasonably warm stretch of weather for October in the tri-state area, Umphrey’s McGee intends to keep the heat pumping as they begin a three night run on Thursday at the Fillmore Philadelphia. The shows will mark their 10th visit to the City of Brotherly Love and their first time playing the year-old Fillmore.
The band has been off the road for nearly a month since their 2nd Annual Chucktown Ball, but the news coming out of the UM camp has been fast and furious. The band has a new mashup album called ZONKEY set for a November 11th release, and has released five tracks since an early September announcement. Nothing is off limits on the album, as the band pulls from over eight years of live mash up composition and performance – Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, Chicago and Bob Marley grace the track “Life During Exodus”, while Michael Jackson, The Weeknd and Fleetwood Mac create the silky smooth track “Can’t Rock My Dream Face”. The band has also announced 12 new tour dates, including a return to the Tabernacle for three nights in January and a strong stint of shows that stretch from Richmond, to Portland, ME and ending in Detroit.
Keyboardist Joel Cummins let fans know this week that there will not be a multi-night run in the NE/New York area, encouraging fans to come to Philly this week. We wholeheartedly support this public service announcement and cannot wait to get this party started. UMPH Love meets Brotherly Love, and 215music will be there covering every angle of the action. Meet you on The Floor!
Showtimes: Thursday (8pm); Friday & Saturday (9pm); buy tix here or at the box office for $30/$35
Support Act: Chris Forsyth & The Solar Motel Band
Listen to “Electric Avenue To Hell” on Spotify, which combines ACDC’s “Highway to Hell”, Eddy Grant’s “Electric Avenue” and UM’s “The Triple Wide”, featuring Jennifer Hartswick on vocals
