Three Nights In Philly with Baroness at Kung Fu Necktie 12/11-13
Heavy Metal quartet Baroness is playing not one, but three Philly tour-closing shows coming up next month at Kung Fu Necktie in Fishtown, with the first of the two nights now sold out. Even though the band had released their revered Gold & Grey in 2019, Baroness never toured the US behind the album, and of course, as they were about to...the pandemic shut everything down. To celebrate the upcoming tour, the band is doing "an evening with" the first performance of the performance will feature a fan-voted setlist (ticket holders will be provided with a link to vote), with the second set featuring tracks selected by the band.
At the time of release, NPR said: “In its scope, Gold & Grey feels like a callback to the heyday of the rock album as art object — that period in the late '70s when a radio-friendly rock bands like Led Zeppelin released the sprawling Physical Graffiti, and their even more heady compatriots in Yes released the monolithic Tales from Topographic Oceans.”
Tickets for night 3, 12/13, at Kung Fu Necktie are still available and can be purchased here:
