God Street Wine 30th Anniversary Tour: Summer Swing
coming to the Ardmore Music Hall 8/2
A jam-rock staple, one some of us may remember from college, God Street Wine has never really left us. Any time I come across one of their albums I end up listening to the whole thing. Simple tunes of complex situations of women and wine coupled with some truly fun jams. After some juggling of personnel at the turn of the millennium, GSW have since put the original crew back together and have played a handful of sold-out shows at Gramercy Theatre in New York. In 2013, God Street Wine released their 25th anniversary 7-disc box set which included special documentary footage and unheard cuts from the classic albums Who's Driving, $1.99 Romances, and Bag, recorded at TRL studios in 2012.
2018 marks the 30th year the band circles the sun and they have put together a mini-tour, titled 'Summer Swing', starting at the end of July, stopping in Chicago, Washington DC, here in the Philly area at Ardmore Music Hall, then Boston and finishes up at home in NYC at City Winery.
