Funk-Electronic Powerhouse Tweed Premieres Fan-Made Interactive 3D Music Video
Today, Philadelphia's funk powerhouse quartet Tweed premiered an immersive 360° music video for the song Big Sky. The video was created by a fan of the band, Matt Buelt of Colorado’s Virtual Worlds 3D, who created the entire VR universe combining clay-mation and computer animation. You can literally move 360° around this song-inspired video world. We recommend a VR headset for the full experience, but you can also use YouTube or Facebook to move around.
Video developer, Matt Buelt recounts, "I was inspired to portray this narrative through environmental storytelling by creating the worlds I was taken to while listening to Big Sky. I wanted the viewers to be fully immersed in the video as if they were being taken on a musical adventure.”
Tweed recently crushed two nights with Lotus at Union Transfer in Philadelphia this past weekend (Jan 25 & 26) and have several other 2019 Northeast tour dates announced. Their 2019 release, Moves, is scheduled for a Spring release and will be paired with a national tour. Coming up just outside of Philly, Tweed appears at Triumph Brewing in New Hope on February 22nd.
