Out of the Beardspace releases double-live album
“Intent to Express”
-Live at Underground Arts this Wednesdy-
Out of the Beardspace is a perpetually evolving musical juggernaut. Hailing from South Jersey, the group has spent the last six years crafting a unique style that blends classic progressive, jazz fusion and rock music with modern electronic, dream-pop and neo-soul influences. On top of performing at festivals such as Catskill Chill, Luna Light Fest, FARM Fest, Jibberjazz events, DomeFest and more, the band throws their own annual festival "Beardfest" every June. Between adventurous, catchy compositions and technically brilliant yet groovy improv sections, Out of the Beardspace has set themselves apart from the typical modern jam band.
The "Intent to Express" double-live album showcases Out of the Beardspace performing material from their first full length album release ("Out of the Beardspace III" 2012) and previously unreleased tracks in their natural habitat; South Jersey festivals 'Camp Jam in the Pines' and their own 'Beardfest.' Listeners can experience the band's fiery live energy in hi-def, studio mixed sound. The eclectic song selection showcases Out of the Beardspace expressing its wide range of emotions in a psychedelic explosion of sound and color." Released December 2nd, you can preview and purchase the two-part album here: https://beardspace.bandcamp.com and on Spotify here

Upon first listen to the live recordings from Intent To Express we find a rich yet familiar sound that hits us, which the band dubs as Experimental Eco-Rock or Symphonic Logic-Core music. Much like a dose of mid 90s Incubus, an adept progressive sound with a serious touch of funk & jazz exploding with jammed out improvisation and colorful, shredding guitar licks on songs like Gorilla Beach and Trabs. Constructed instrumental bouts and tuned vocal harmonies are prevalent in songs like Sacrifice and Jasmine, which are paired directly with guitar harmonies from shredders Zach LoPresti and Jeremy Savo. The gates are wide open for Out of The Beardspace musically; as well as being trained musicians and veterans of The School of Rock, these minstrels can just about cover the bases rhythmically and tonally.
