You Do You Releases "The Oil" and performs at Ortlieb's in Philly 12/2
Philly's female-fronted funk-rock troupe You Do You has released their latest single, "The Oil", a heavier than usual composition from the band, highlighting some of their progressive rock influence. "The Oil" is the final single from upcoming album Funky Dinos, which the band will be releasing on January 22, was recorded at Philly's Retro City Sound Studios. The 10-track full-length concept album is the long-awaited follow up to their 2017 Political Party EP and marks a new era sonically for the 7-piece band, which formed in 2012.
