Dopapod Announces First Show Date to End Year-long Hiatus
After a year-long hiatus from their usually rigorous touring schedule, and much to the anticipation of fans, Dopapod has announced their first show date in over a year. On Monday the band ominously updated their social media profile photos and website, simply listing 'Please Stand By', leaving many fans with the feeling that the band will return soon. Today the band announced they'll be playing their come-back show at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on April 27th and hopefully more dates will follow. Guitarist Rob Compa comments: "By the time we met up again for rehearsals, we all felt a renewed tenacity, spirit, and creativity. Above all, stepping back for awhile helped us be able to observe how incredibly lucky we are to be able to make music with each other and have all our fans care enough about the music we make to stick with us through all of this. It’s just incredible. There’s no other way to say it. Thank you so much, and we’ll see you at the Capitol Theater".
Even with a full year off, the members of Dopapod kept very busy exploring side-projects and inspirations that will surely prove beneficial to the re-united tour warriors once on stage together again.
