Tom Hamilton's American Babies with Holly Bowling at Ardmore Music Hall 7/14
This Friday night at Ardmore Music Hall, Tom Hamilton's American Babies returns to one of their favorite local spots in the area and will be joined by piano virtuoso Holly Bowling. American Babies has been a steady player in the regional music scene, traveling through major US cities and making festival appearances. Joining Hamilton is Justin Mazer on guitar, Al Smith on Drums, Raina Mullen on acoustic guitar and by Mark Sosnoskie on bass. American Babies has anchored a name for themselves in the live music arena since their self-titled 2008 debut. In support of Tom and the Babies, Holly bowling will start the night off with her personally tailored renditions of Grateful Dead and Phish songs.
As a classically trained pianist with a deep love for both bands and their music, Bowling has also anchored a name for herself and released her 2015 debut crowd-funded album, 'Distillation of a Dream', a 2-disc album of choice versions of reworked live Phish songs. Switching streams, Bowling followed up in 2016 with her next LP, 'Better Left Unsung' which focuses on 13 Grateful Dead fan favorites, with a couple from specific performances in the Dead's 30 years of travels. Both albums can be purchased on CD or vinyl here.
