Maggie Rose releases 'No One Gets Out Alive', slated to perform at
Philly's World Cafe Live 5/29
Nashville-based artist Maggie Rose recently released her highly anticipated album, No One Gets Out Alive to rave reviews, with Rolling Stone calling it "one of the most successful reinventions in Nashville history". Maggie will be on an extensive tour and is scheduled to perform at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia on May 29th.
No One Gets Out Alive is a master class in contemporary pop craftsmanship, hearkening back to early ‘70s Laurel Canyon, with Maggie’s big, soulful voice taking center stage. The songs deal in both dark and hopeful themes– disillusionment in relationships, ageism, female empowerment and living in the moment, among them. Her songwriting collaborators include the heavyweight duo of Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony (Rihanna, Bruno Mars), Natalie Hemby (The Highwomen), Pat McLaughlin (John Prine), Henry Brill (Joy Oladokun) and more. GRAMMY-Award winning producer Ben Tanner worked on the record with GRAMMY-nominated audio engineer, Bobby Holland.
Rolling Stone declared Maggie is a “star” and NPR Music called her a “multi-genre powerhouse.” With unflinching honesty, Maggie approaches everything authentically, unencumbered by genre labels. A respected fixture of the Nashville community, she has played the iconic Grand Ole Opry over 100 times and played marquee festivals including Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and Newport Folk Fest. A true road warrior, she has shared the stage with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Heart, Joan Jett, Eric Church, Gov’t Mule, The Mavericks, Fitz & The Tantrums, St. Paul & The Broken Bones and The Revivalists to name a few.
