Dangermuffin to release new album - Plays World Cafe Live in Philly on Apr. 13th
Dangermuffin has lots going on lately. With a recently released single, Ancient Family - the first from the new album on the horizon, Heritage, to be released on March 31st and having mapped out a tour that travels the USA, the band is in fourth gear and ready to rumble. Dangermuffin's sound blends Americana, earthy roots, and folk that sometimes takes a Jam form. This is clearly audible on their newly produced album, which we had the chance to catch an early listen. Vocal harmonies and catchy riffs keep your ears peeled to Heritage, delivering a harmonious 'Island' feel in songs like Waves and The Sea & The Rose, the coastal quartet, now featuring their newest member Markus Helander on drums, takes you on a journey of the heart, soul and family. The majority of the album was recorded acoustically and proves to be their most progressive album to date.
