Sunday night with Fishbone at Ardmore Music Hall 8/13/23

Fishbone still wear the crown as one of the best live acts ever. They proved this on Sunday night as they blew the roof off of Ardmore Music Hall with their eclectic mix of ska, punk, funk and metal that they've perfected over their 40 year career. The Los Angeles sextet packed onto the stage and set the tone for the night, opening with a fiery rendition of "Sunless Saturday" from 1991's 'The Reality of My Surroundings' and didn't take their foot off the gas for the next 90 minutes. The rest of the set was a non-stop dance and sing-a-long party for the capacity crowd, which included a handful of new songs from their most recent self-titled EP released earlier this year on Fat Wreck Chords. The band is currently on tour supporting Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton, with a number of separate headlining dates scheduled throughout. More at fishbone.net.
