The Wallflower Observer Presents John Ferrara's "A Harmony of Opposites" with Pasta Boss and More
at Bourbon & Branch - February 1st
Coming to Bourbon & Branch in Philadelphia, The Wallflower Observer presents bassist John Ferrara of Consider the Source, appearing for a special performance on February 1st with local support from Pastaboss, Jello Vibes, and DJ Shango. Ferrara’s music is a skillful balance of contradictory forces, tones, and landscapes. As a member of jam-prog stalwarts, Consider the Source, he blends the bassists’ traditional role with boundary-breaking techniques and unusual sonic palates. The past two years saw Ferrara team up with Seth Moutal as an exploratory improv drum & bass power duo performing at local venues and festivals. Now, Ferrara steps out on his own with his first solo release: The Harmony of Opposites.
The album is a snapshot of Ferrara’s soul: a hypnotic, haunting sound-sculpture of solo bass guitar. His virtuosic command of ethereal harmony, layered loops, and percussive propulsion brings fire and passion to both his original compositions and surprising covers. The Harmony of Opposites is available for pre-order and will be released on February 4th. Pre-order "A Harmony of Opposites" here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/johnferrara/a-harmony-of-opposites
