Blendmode Release EP 'Revive' and Will Perform at 118 North's Tailgate Under the Tent on Friday 8/20

Philly area electro-rock band, Blendmode, has resurfaced with a powerful EP and an upcoming performance at 118 North's Tailgate Under the Tent to celebrate the release of 'Revive' on Friday August 20th at 8pm, a free show. The band has been together officially since 2012 and prove successful with combining electronic instrumental rock with live improvisational dance jams. Blendmode has performed at venues like The Stone Pony, New York's Mercury Lounge, and here in our area at Legendary Dobbs, The Blockley, Silk City and at Ardmore Music Hall, just to name a few.
Revive, is true to its name, with the band definitely sounding revived after conquering some hardships and time off in the world. A resurrection of sound, the electro-rock dance jamband have honed their inner-workings and sound tighter than ever with driving synth-lead compositions, leaning heavily on the electronic dance vibe with some room to jam. Keyboardist John Pickard and guitarist Rob Reynolds push the limits and lead the charge on this EP, sometimes dueling in fugue to produce complex sounds, with Sean O'Donnell on bass delivering groundwork of a balanced, charging low-end. Drummer Rich Flamini shows off his chops in each of these tracks keeping the group paced to victory and demonstrated precision. Recorded and Mixed by Ryan Edgar, and mastered by Lotus's Jesse Miller, listen to 'Revive' below.
