Tonight: The Motet & Swift Technique at Ardmore Music Hall

Ardmore Music Hall will get extra funky when Colorado based, The Motet along with special guests, and Philadelphia’s own troupe of funk, Swift Technique hit the stage tonight in Ardmore, PA.
Forming in 2007, the nine-piece funk troupe, Swift Technique, has been “wowing” crowds with their high energy live performances, strong vocals and solid brass section. If you're a fan of legends, James Brown, Billy Preston, and Maceo Parker, Swift Technique is right up your alley. With the charismatic duo of Chelsea ViaCava and Nik Greeley leading with popping to heart-felt vocals, Jake Leschinsky on the bass tones, and with the funky brass charge of Greg Rosen, Ian Gray, and Brian Blaker in this squad we always know we're in for a treat. A special appearance by Senator Squawk is imminent, we believe.
The Motet, mixes afrobeat rhythms, latin style and funk together to create a unique sound of their own. With a grassroots following, over the past eighteen years the band has been known for their dynamic live performances as well as their polished studio releases like Dig Deep, Music For Life and their 2014 self-titled release. We recently had the chance to catch them a the Peach Music Festival this summer in Scranton, PA where the blew the roof off that steamy summer crowd. They are currently touring the country in support of their July release, “Totem” and are coming in HOT to Philly today... Hope to see you tonight at the show!
