Portland alt-psych rockers The Dandy Warhols took a near sellout crowd on a journey through their nearly 30-year career on Wednesday night at Ardmore Music Hall. Touring in support of their soon-to-be-released 13th studio album ‘Rockmaker’, the quartet proved they’re still masters of blending trippy pop hooks with hard driving rock. Backed by a kaleidoscopic light show, the band ripped through a 16-song set showcasing their versatility and chemistry as they effortlessly transitioned between old a new material that culminated with a brief snippet of "Pete International Airport' into a sonic version of 'Boys Better' from 1997's '... The Dandy Warhols Come Down". The tour continues across the US through March, then heads to Australia and New Zealand in April & May. “Rockmaker” is out March 15th on Sunset Blvd. Records.
