Ardmore Music Hall Announces Staff Family Band, Audio and Video Releases, and Support for
Independent Venues

The staff at Ardmore Music Hall is staying active during the COVID-19 pandemic, working hard to keep music top of mind and lift spirits throughout the area. The music venue, located in Ardmore, PA just outside of Philadelphia, has several projects in the works to keep the fan-favorite venue on the radar of music lovers who miss the thrill of the live music experience. As part of the Love From Philly Virtual Music Festival, Ardmore Music Hall Employees and interns past and present formed The AMH Family Band, producing an incredible cover of “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” by Talking Heads, which can be watched below.
What started as a one-off project has evolved into a full band and a means of staying connected with friends and co-workers during these times of separation. Stay tuned for future releases, which are planned for the near future. If you’d like to support any of these amazing people, there is an active GoFundMe campaign for AMH employee relief, with 100% of proceeds going to staff members who were affected by the venue being dark during the pandemic.
In an effort to provide fans with an outlet, Ardmore Music Hall has teamed up with streaming giants NUGS.net to produce a free video re-broadcast series called AMH x NUGS: REWIND. Every Monday and Friday at 6 PM EST, Ardmore Music Hall and NUGS re-broadcast a multi-camera, HD video stream of a show from the AMH archives. These releases can be viewed on both the Ardmore Music Hall Facebook page, as well as on NUGS.tv. The streams utilize virtual tip jars to help support Ardmore Music Hall employees, the musicians, as well as a rotating list of local Philadelphia charities.

Adding another layer to Ardmore Music Hall’s ongoing content releases is their “Live From the Archives” project. The AMH team is mastering live recordings of shows from the over the years, and making them available for sale on the Ardmore Music Hall website. Proceeds from the sales of these live recordings support both the Ardmore Music Hall staff, as well as the artist who performed on the recording. Currently available recordings include local rock legends Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers, as well as Dave Matthews guitarist Tim Reynolds and TR3, among many others. This offering is the first of its kind in Philly region and is something Ardmore Music Hall hopes to continue moving forward.
An important cause that Ardmore Music Hall is passionate about is pushing to save independent venues everywhere. Many are at risk of closing due to the financial impacts of COVID-19 - The National Independent Venue Association is working to help government leaders understand this grave situation, and working to get businesses like Ardmore Music Hall the support they need. Live music fans can help by completing a short form that alerts local legislators about the challenges independent music venues are facing.
