West Philly indie punk band, Honeythunder, has released their latest offering and will perform at South Street's Nikki Lopez on July 10th. Visions from the Canyon is a 4-track EP that explores themes of existentialism and freedom through desert rock and punk sounds. The EP represents 3 years of playing, growing, and exploring together, and beautifully demonstrates where they have landed as a band.

With catchy choruses and melody-driven songwriting, Visions From the Canyon features poignant vocals with impressive range dynamics by bassist Kat Bakrania, accompanying vocal harmonies by guitarist Bel Furman, and with Izzy Ross on drums and Dan McKeon on guitar, the band delivers a well-produced sound on the EP. The group performs high-energy rock but remains melodic and introspective in nature, with hints of surf rock and desert rock.

Honeythunder will celebrate the release of the Visions From the Canyon EP at Nikki Lopez on South Street joined by Philly high energy alt-rockers Soft No! and the fast hook-driven tunes of Astro Alloy. Grab tickets for the EP release show
