Formed in the West Midlands of England in 1988, The Charlatans are known for combining Hammond organ-driven melodies, indie rock riffs, psychedelic influences, and danceable rhythms. Unlike many bands from the region, the band survived multiple lineup changes and personal tragedies while continuing to release music. The Charlatans have seen every studio album reach the UK Top 40, with several reaching #1. 

Just this year in July, the band released the deluxe version of We Are Love, originally released in October of last year, and have recently embarked on their North American tour, which began September 3rd at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. The Charlatans bring the tour to Philadelphia on Wednesday September 23rd, returning to Union Transfer, and will be joined by singer/songwriter, Frankie Rose.
