Festival season isn't over, apparently. The third annual Luna Light Music and Arts Festival tails things off in Darlington, MD next weekend, boasting a beefy lineup of musicians and featuring a myriad of arts, performing artists, crafts and activities. 215music will be there capturing the action with British composer and producer Dave 'Tipper' headlining the party with the promising and awaited collaboration of John Medeski, Billy Martin, Marco Benevento and Joey Russo who will no doubt form as Voltron on Sunday night to destroy all in their path (no, that's not their stage name...yet?) Joining the crew are seasoned jam acts like The New Deal, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Pink Talking Fish along with Electron and Dopapod, who both delivered excellent sets up at Catskill Chill 2016 two weeks ago.

We'll be sure to see a good mix of collaboration at Luna Light Festival, with Medeski and Martin pairing up again as MAGO, and from CIA with Particle bassist Clay Parnell, Ian McGuire and drummer for the Disco Biscuits, Allen Aucoin. American Babies, Tweed, Muscle Tough, Flux Capacitor, Sexy Black Female, Grimace Federation, Manifested, Wax Future, Ichisan, Architekt and Risky Disko will all be in attendance representing our great city of Philly, with Nashville's Zoogma, Albany's Mister F, Boston's Wobblesauce, Indobox and Grateful Dead tribute, Bearly Dead. Hailing from New York City and Brooklyn are Teddy Midnight, Horizon Wireless and the sometimes-seen-on-phish-lot, In Flux. The duo of Bells & Robes bring a live electronic element from Atlanta with Of The Trees coming in from Portland as well as Need & Necessity with some deep cuts from Denver. As you can tell there is a great geographic musical mix with a focus on some of the Philly artists who have us even more excited for this festival.

Joining Luna Light Festival with wandering sit-in mentalities are Marco Benevento, Holly Bowling and the Snarky Horns: Chris Bullock, Mike Maher and Justin Stanton from the Grammy award winning Snarky Puppy family. A popular theme at many festivals this summer was the roving/roaming/artist-at-large which always makes sit-ins and collaborations fun. One thing we know for sure, horns always makes it better! Luna will be held at Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, Maryland on October 13th - 16th with some returning Luna veterans and some new acts to the lineup.
