High-energy indie rockers, The Stews, have been gaining serious traction in the southern music scene and beyond, and came to Philadelphia last night to perform at Union Transfer. Born out of Auburn University, The Stews carved out a reputation for electrifying live shows, gritty guitar work, and a sound that blends classic rock swagger with modern indie edge. Their most recent album, Chicken Fight, was released in July of last year and has seen the band riding high from its release, marking a major evolution in their sound, blending sludgy rock anthems like 'Buried Alive' with stripped-back acoustic gems like 'So Much More To you'. The band continues on their national tour to NYC tonight, with their national tour stopping in DC, Millvale, PA, Madison, Dallas, Austin and a slew of other dates through November, see the rest of the tour dates here.
