After 44 years the world's largest and most influential band, Metallica, took the stage for their second night at Lincoln Financial Field. Metalheads from all around the world came together to see their favorite band take the stage once again. As the lights started to dim and the intro music from AC/DC’s It’s a long Way to the Top and Ennio Morricone’s The Ecstasy of Gold played, you could feel the anticipation from the Philly crowd waiting for the band to take the stage. With drummer Lars Ulrich emerging first, the crowd erupted as the rest of the quartet followed. The band dove right into a classic Whiplash off their 1983 album “Kill Em All”. Metallica would circle around the stage, labeled as “the snake pit”, as they played classics like For Whom the Bells Toll, Ride the Lighting, Blackened to more recent songs like Screaming Suicide, Lux Aeterna, and The Memory Remains.
